The Ukrainian Cultural Center of Syracuse has launched
The UNH 100 Campaign — a 7-year, $250,000 campaign to restore and strengthen our Ukrainian National Home for generations to come.
Who We Are
Ukrainians in America are currently working hard to preserve their identity. We must continue our traditions and maintain our values. Sometimes this is symbolic; other times this comes in a more tangible, physical form. The Ukrainian Culture Center of Syracuse (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) is now turning to our friends as we seek to improve our Ukrainian National Home. Here, we host our members' club, our dance troupe, and our youth scouts. We organize events, cook in the kitchen, make memories, and gather as a family. It is the heart of our local Ukrainian community.
In 2033, the UNH will celebrate its one hundredth anniversary. It was here that a group of Ukrainians gathered in 1933, seeking a place to gather, and erected our current building. Since then, the UNH has become a staple of the Tipperary Hill neighborhood. While it has served us well, now is the time for improvements. The Executive Board has developed a new plan known as the “UNH 100 Campaign: Tradition for Tomorrow.” The campaign will fundraise over the next seven years, up until our centennial anniversary and celebration.
Our campaign focuses on five major projects: new windows in our hall, fresh paint on the hall paneling, new windows in the dining room, paving the lower parking lot, and paving the side parking lot. These projects serve not only to update our building aesthetically but also to manage heating and provide a safer experience for our patrons outside the building.
Today, we ask for your financial support. The Ukrainian Cultural Center would appreciate any donation! No amount is too small, as every dollar raised is significant. Improvements will be made to our building as funds become available. We encourage you to visit our website and follow our social media to see pictures of updates and current projects.
We sincerely thank you for any support you provide at this time. We acknowledge that the world is a busy and complicated place, which inspires that much more dedication to preserving a safe space at home. Community through culture, tradition for tomorrow.
